DoBe Group Invited to Attend the Forum on International Cultural Industries 2025

On January 11th, the Forum on International Cultural Industries 2025 opened at Peking University. This year's forum, themed "New Heights: Chinese Culture and Empowering a Strong Nation", featured main forums, thematic discussions, think tank dialogues, and young scholars' seminars. Experts and scholars from government, industry, academia, and research were invited to gather and discuss key topics such as strengthening cultural confidence, enhancing cultural innovation and creativity, and building new peaks of Chinese culture. Jia Bo, Chairman of DoBe Group, was invited to attend the forum and delivered a speech titled "The Evolution of Industrial Space: From Cultural Creativity to Artificial Intelligence".

The forum was hosted by Peking University, co-organized by the Peking University School of Arts and the Peking University Institute for Cultural Industries, with special support from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts. It was jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of Beijing Haidian District Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Haidian District Cultural Development Promotion Center, Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences), Tianjin College of Media and Arts, and Inner Mongolia Arts University. Dozens of experts and scholars from the cultural industry engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including reforms in cultural systems and mechanisms, new productive forces, the role of cultural tourism and sports in urban-rural integrated development, technological empowerment and creative diversity in the performing arts industry, cultural heritage preservation and practice, and the integration of artificial intelligence with the cultural industry.


Zhang Xu, Chair of the World Tourism Alliance and former Vice Minister of Culture and Tourism, noted that in recent years, the state has introduced a series of policy documents to deepen reforms in cultural systems and mechanisms, promoting the healthy development of the cultural industry and market, with particularly notable achievements in the integrated development of cultural tourism. The innovative development of new tourism formats such as intangible cultural heritage + tourism, museums + tourism, and performing arts + tourism has played a crucial role in stimulating domestic demand, promoting employment, invigorating the market, and boosting confidence. As a comprehensive, non-governmental, non-profit international tourism organization initiated by China, the World Tourism Alliance is committed to promoting connectivity and shared governance in the tourism sector at the non-governmental level, advocating for the integrated development of cultural tourism with Chinese characteristics and sharing experiences in tourism empowerment.

Miao Muyang, Director-General of the Industrial Development Department of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stated that in 2025, the Ministry will introduce a package of policies to boost cultural and tourism consumption, tracking and analyzing changes in public consumption psychology while responding to the growing demand for upgraded and personalized consumption. The Ministry will organize diverse consumption promotion activities, optimize the consumption environment, enhance consumer experiences, innovate consumption scenarios, effectively drive secondary and derivative consumption, and continuously unlock consumption potential. It will vigorously promote "cultural tourism + all industries", fostering multi-dimensional integration between cultural tourism and related sectors of the national economy, while encouraging "all industries + cultural tourism" to inject capital, technology, information, and talent flows into the cultural tourism industry, creating a mutually beneficial and deeply integrated ecosystem. The Ministry will continue to drive the digital transformation of traditional cultural formats, promoting the application of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and large-scale virtual reality in cultural tourism. It will leverage the catalytic role of key projects, supporting large-scale, high-tech, and highly influential cultural tourism initiatives with strong radiating effects.

During the forum, Xiang Yong, Dean of the Institute for Cultural Industries at Peking University, publicly released the "2025 PKU Report", which forecasts trends in the cultural industry for the year 2025. The report indicates that digital technology will catalyze the stratification of cultural consumption and the reconstruction of scenarios, the in-depth development of cultural IP will drive cross-border integration as a trend, "low-altitude economy + cultural tourism" will create new growth points in cultural consumption, and digital platforms will enable personalized customization of cultural products and service consumption. These trends will bring new opportunities and challenges to the development of the cultural industry.


This year's forum was held in an "online + offline" format, attracting significant attention and participation from audiences and netizens. Guest speakers conducted in-depth discussions and shared insights on "Chinese Culture and Empowering a Strong Nation" from various perspectives. With the continuous development and expansion of the cultural industry, its position and role in the national economy have become increasingly prominent. The successful hosting of this forum has not only provided strong support for the innovative development of the cultural industry but also made positive contributions to promoting Chinese culture and national strength.
