Recently, the Shanghai Water Molecule Public Welfare Foundation (referred to as "the Foundation") partnered with Fudan University to officially launch the "Shanghai Water Molecule Public Welfare Foundation Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences Student Aid Fund". The fund focuses on supporting financially disadvantaged students in Fudan University's Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences, helping them overcome growth barriers through skill development, enhancing professional competence and practical abilities, and promoting educational equity and talent reserves in the discipline.
Fudan University's Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences carries the mission of serving the national "Dual Carbon" goals and the maritime power strategy. The discipline is highly practice-oriented, requiring advanced scientific training and international perspectives. Some financially challenged students face difficulties such as insufficient opportunities for scientific training and limited industry exposure.
