5,475 Days, Over 2,000 Children in Need, Hundreds of Thousands of Kilometers Traveled — The Sunshine Path of Water Molecule Public Welfare Foundation

Looking back to 2009, the public welfare team, then known as the Water Molecule Volunteer Service Society, formed an enduring bond with Pucheng, Fujian, upon the recommendation of colleagues from DoBe. During field visits, the difficult living conditions of local children deeply moved the team members. In 2010, the "Guardian Angel Project" was officially launched, establishing one-to-one educational support through the bridge built by the Pucheng Osmanthus Student Aid Station. Now, 15 years later, this public welfare project, initiated with funding from the DoBe Group and led by the Water Molecule Foundation, has become a warm light illuminating the growth path of local children in need.

At the symposium, the founding Chairperson of the Water Molecule Foundation reflected on the original intention of their public welfare efforts: "DoBe firmly believes that the value of an enterprise lies not only in commercial success but also in the commitment to social responsibility. Fifteen years ago, we embarked on this journey with a kind thought of "giving the children a helping hand". Seeing the transformation of the children today further strengthens our resolve to continue investing in public welfare." She detailed the scholarship and teaching support, art outreach programs, and other activities carried out in collaboration with the Pucheng Osmanthus Student Aid Station and Haocun Middle School. She also shared the fruitful achievements of the project over the past 15 years in terms of financial assistance, resource coordination, and more, extending the sincerest gratitude to all the caring individuals and volunteers.

She particularly shared the heartfelt words of a supported girl: "We didn't grow up twisted, because we received so much kindness." This simple statement speaks to the power of public welfare.

This kindness is now yielding the most beautiful echoes. A former supported student, Ms. Lou, who is now an elementary school Chinese language teacher, shared emotionally in her speech: "The dual blow of losing my father and failing the high school entrance exam plunged me into confusion. It was the help from the Water Molecule Foundation and local volunteers that gave me the chance to continue my education." Now having worked for eight years, her journey from a recipient to a giver precisely illustrates the profound significance of the Guardian Angel Project — it is not only material support but also a spiritual inheritance, allowing the seeds of kindness to take root and sprout in the children's hearts, eventually growing into towering trees.

At the event, 18 outstanding local volunteers were awarded special commemorative medals. This honor is both recognition for their years of dedication and a tribute to all fellow public welfare practitioners. From the budding of an initial idea in 2009 to abundant fruits in 2025, from the pioneering donations of the DoBe Group to the broad convergence of social resources, the "Guardian Angel Project" has spent 15 years fulfilling the vision of "building a public welfare platform and transmitting warmth and hope".

Fifteen years of weathering the journey together, love has never ceased. From the initial Water Molecule Volunteer Service Society to its formal registration as the Shanghai Water Molecule Public Welfare Foundation in 2014, and its growth into a Shanghai 3A-level social public welfare organization, the DoBe Group has always been the most solid backbone of this love. Fifteen years is merely a starting point. In the future, the DoBe Group will continue to join hands with the Shanghai Water Molecule Public Welfare Foundation, constantly exploring and innovating on the path of public welfare, so that more children in need can feel warmth and hope, allowing this pact of love that crosses mountains and seas to accompany children toward a brighter future.
