Wu Jincheng, District Chief of Shanghai's Pudong New Area, Inspects Shanghai Times Youth Sci-Tech Innovation and Development Center
Recently, Wu Jincheng, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, Deputy Party Secretary of Pudong New Area, and District Chief, along with his delegation, inspected the under-construction "Shanghai Times Youth Sci-Tech Innovation and Development Center" (hereinafter referred to as the "Center"), affirming its efforts in advancing Shanghai's global innovation hub initiatives. As one of the core founding units of the Center, DoBe Group leverages its professional expertise in operating cultural and creative industrial parks to actively build an innovation ecosystem that connects global scientific and technological resources.
During the inspection, Wu Jincheng emphasized that the Center should leverage its "golden brand" effect, serve as a bridge to connect global scientific and technological resources, and attract both talent and investment.
The Shanghai Times Youth Sci-Tech Innovation and Development Center, guided by the Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Commission, is a professional youth sci-tech innovation platform focused on technological innovation, project incubation, talent training, international cooperation, and authoritative certification. With "all-age talent development" as its core mission, it is committed to building a science and technology innovation service system covering primary school to youth, stimulating young people's interest in technology, fostering their innovation capabilities, and promoting the industrialization and globalization of cutting-edge technological achievements.
The Center is the only designated partner in China for the annual "ZLead Global Youth Innovation Summit" organized by the U.S. ZLead Silicon Valley Committee. At the inaugural summit held in August 2024, student union representatives from over 50 top global universities, including Harvard and Stanford, engaged in dialogues on cutting-edge fields such as AI+biomedicine, autonomous driving, and the digital economy, leading to the signing of multiple international cooperation agreements. DoBe has co‑hosted the summit for two consecutive years. Drawing on its global network of cultural and creative industrial parks and its industry service expertise, the company facilitates resource linkages and provides operational support for the summit, fostering effective collaboration among government, enterprises, universities, and investment institutions.
The second summit will be held in Shanghai on August 13-14, 2025, and is expected to attract nearly a thousand global tech entrepreneurs, scholars, and investors, focusing on discussions about AI frontiers and project roadshows. During the Center's preparatory phase, the DoBe Group played an in‑depth role in the platform's development, driving the deep integration of scientific innovation resources and young talents through the consolidation of global innovation resources and the construction of an innovation‑driven entrepreneurial ecosystem. In April this year, the Shanghai Times Youth Sci-Tech Innovation and Development Center was officially inaugurated during the "Global Summit on Physical Intelligence Limit Challenges and Security", marking the platform's entry into substantive construction. Currently, the Center is accelerating the development of a full-cycle incubation system for youth innovation through regular summits, roadshows, training, and other mechanisms.
As preparatory work progresses, the Center will continue to deepen cooperation with international scientific organizations, strengthen global resource connectivity, and establish a model effect in attracting talent and investment, providing strategic support for Shanghai's goal of becoming a globally influential innovation hub.
