Li Qian, Secretary of the Hongkou District Committee of Shanghai, Leads Delegation in Visit to DoBe Sports LOFT Creative Park@HONGKOU
Recently, Li Qian, Secretary of the Hongkou District Committee of Shanghai, along with Jiang Aifeng, Deputy Secretary of the District Committee, and Chen Shuai, Deputy District Chief, visited DoBe Sports LOFT Creative Park@HONGKOU in Shanghai to conduct research on the park's operational services, enterprise development, and industrial ecosystem development.

DoBe Sports LOFT Creative Park@HONGKOU is China's first international sports industry park, characterized by the integration of "sports + creativity". The park's premises originally housed a Shikumen building constructed in the 1920s for the Zhejiang Fellow Association, which was later converted into the Shanghai Electric Welding Machine Factory in the 1950s—the nation's earliest electric welding machine factory. In 2009, DoBe Group undertook a comprehensive renovation of the site, preserving the architectural style of the Republican-era industrial building while incorporating modern facilities. Guided by the core principles of "rhythm, vitality, and creativity", the park was transformed into a multifunctional space, achieving a functional transition. Today, it has successfully attracted nearly 200 enterprises, including Naidong Sports and Shanghai Tongce Sports Goods Co., Ltd., gradually forming an industrial cluster centered on sports technology, digital creativity, and cultural media. The park is equipped with comprehensive sports facilities, including a standard basketball court, climbing gym, taekwondo gym, table tennis hall, and distinctive features such as a 400-meter circular running track, fostering a distinctive sports-themed industrial ecosystem.
In terms of operational model, the park has established a closed-loop business format of "sports-ecological office spaces + multi-dimensional consumption + cultural experience" by precisely addressing the needs of enterprises and the surrounding community. Through the integration of "park, block, community, commercial area, and scenic area", the park has strategically positioned sports equipment stores and venues like badminton and basketball halls along main roads to form a consumption loop. It has also introduced dining, lifestyle services, and cultural offerings to create a "15-minute happy living circle". Additionally, markets, craft breweries, and trendy LIVEHOUSE venues have fostered a vibrant ecosystem where industrial clustering and commercial vitality mutually reinforce each other.

During the research visit, Secretary Li Qian focused on the park's initiatives to support enterprise innovation and growth, and visited Lancheng E-Commerce (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., a tenant company specializing in international trade digitization. Through its self-developed technological tools, the company has built a global supply chain service system, evolving from a small entrepreneurial team into a leading platform in cross-border import transaction services.
Secretary Li Qian emphasized the importance of leveraging the advantages of historical architectural resources, continuously exploring innovation, enriching the park's business formats, strengthening collaboration with surrounding resources, and promoting multi-dimensional cross-integration within the park to revitalize old spaces. He also highlighted the need to address mass and personalized demands, enhance design empowerment in products and services, boost the output of cultural soft power, strengthen the core competitiveness of enterprises, and achieve a higher level of "going global".
Since its establishment, DoBe Sports LOFT Creative Park@HONGKOU has been committed to creating a benchmark project that integrates a sports ecosystem, creative offices, and commercial offerings. Moving forward, the park will continue to align with the development strategy of Hongkou District, optimize enterprise incubation services, deepen commercial atmosphere cultivation and footfall aggregation, and strengthen the integration and mutual reinforcement of commercial and innovative functions. By providing robust support for enterprise growth and injecting new vitality into the surrounding community, the park aims to contribute to the district's efforts in attracting innovative enterprises, gathering high-level talent, and building a high-energy ecosystem.
